Outline: This course will
introduce the biology and lifecycle of native nudibranch species which Seasearch
volunteers may encounter in their dives around the UK. Understanding their life
styles will aid location and recognition of nudibranch habitats and typical
UK species. The workshop mixes theory and practical sessions, following
presentations with optional dives to reinforce information.
The photography portion of the course is a flexible
sub-component which will be included as time allows and will run in more detail
if the optional diving is affected or reduced by weather or
visibility.

£70 each including course materials and

A deposit of £35 is required to secure a
place

Food:
Tea, coffee, squash and biscuits are included for
breaks
Meals are not included, a packed lunch for both
days will allow the most flexibility for dive planning. The venue can provide packed or hot lunches. If you would like to join the group meal on the
Saturday night please inform the organiser - a deposit will be
required
Accommodation:
All options will fill quickly in June, book
early!
Sheringham Youth Hostel also offers rooms at £20
per person per night
Hotel - The Maltings Weybourne will be the venue
for the group meal and has rooms
There are numerous B&Bs and campsites in the
area
Diving:
The diving is optional
The practical portion of the course is shore diving
on the two local wrecks at Cley and Weybourne
The dives are shallow (5-10m) and close to shore
but require a walk (2-300m) and surface swim (50-100m)
Local airfills are not always available - bring 2
cylinders if possible
Many people could make both dives on one 12 litre
cylinder
Normal Seasearch qualification requirements apply -
Minimum Sport Diver, 20 dives, 10 in UK
